ooh baby. i've been keeping it a bit shy on the blogger about jenna, not because i'm being secretive but because its exciting being with her and i'd rather tell you about it in person. anyway, we've been spending loads of time together over the past month or so, to the point where we'd be going out or dating or whatever you want to call it ("going steady" as my mom says) if it weren't for me going to maryland and her going to haiti for four months. we've been keeping it real while in ohio so we're going to keep it real while we're away, and have God lead things rather than ourselves. obviously a lot can happen in a semester away and so we're going to give God the glory for whatever happens. and obviously we talked about lots more stuff but i will not post that here, so don't go talking behind my back ya sleazeball.
so that's happiness for you. jenna saved my summer. sure, i took lots of trips and saw friends in faraway places, but the downtimes were just like they sound, down times. almost depressing because of the boredom. but things have turned around, and as i leave in three days, i have a lot to be excited for. and of course, i have a lot to be thankful for. justin, for the life talk, for one. and kelly, for sending me your colorado story, for another. brad for having so much stuff to move, and ben for complaining about it. tim for beating me in perfect dark. i'm not sure who else reads this but if you do and i forgot you, thanks too. please come to maryland/DC and slap me in the face to tell me i forgot you, then hang out with me for a week.
five days until i move away. that is, hoping i can get a uhaul still, i know that isn't much time. we're all leaving though - justin, kurt, jenna, rene, kelly, plus stuart and i'm sure others. i can't wait.
i ran a 5k the other day, and my time was a PR - 17:53! that beats any time i've ever run before, even on the cross country team. my legs hurt some but i suppose you'll have that.
i've moved home into the tent in my backyard again, i forgot how stinkin' humid BG is in the morning because there's so much dew everywhere. you don't find that out west as i'm sure you noticed in colorado.
jenna and i watched hp II last night which i think is better than hp I because its a little faster-paced, though watching II and reading V makes me realize that the ole' movie house has some catching up to do. i mean, so much happens in V that i almost don't want to go back and read the ones before it. but i probably will.
