justin, are you gonna be gone when i get home for thanksgiving? i'd really like to chill if you're around, we'll probably play old bghs football on the wednesday before. speaking of bghs, the girls team won the state cross-country meet! how 'bout that?! but they're annoying because the girls are always better than the guys. anyway, props to them.
matt, brand new just played in DC and there's a pretty sweet review in the post today. i missed them but it sounded like they didn't disappoint. what album is their best? i'm thinking of buying one of theirs, the new saves the day, new strokes, and maybe another coldplay album. any recommendations?
our frisbee tournament was cool today, we went 3-1 in the warm weather against drew, princeton, penn st. (loss), and bucknell. tomorrow is the bracket setup so that means probably 3-4 more games. unfortunately i don't get to play much because i'm new to the A team but it still feels good to win and watch some awesome guys play.
well, i'm gonna go watch 'ghostbusters' with heather and daniel. because i need a night off of studying.

i decided that a great halloween store, or just a spoof on the internet, would be for politically-incorrect costumes. i have a few in mind that i don't even know if i can mention here, maybe only in the company of a select group of BGers who will appreciate the crass. maybe i'll make a secret site somewhere. its so good in my head but so bad out of my mouth. yeah, thats right.
i'm pumped for our frisbee tournament tomorrow, i made the 'a' team again (barely i think) and it looks like we're gonna have some tough games against penn st., upenn, princeton, etc. the weather looks rad though, a high of 77.
well, i've decided that "studying smart" consists of copying my notes & making notes from the textbook, because i'm not doing any good just staring at a long list of equations and derivations in my notes, not knowing what they mean or where they came from. unfortunately this realization translates into lots more time, but hopefully i'll understand the material a lot better. that's why i'm here, after all.
so my halloween was pretty blah, though i did have a nice lunch with mike soh, where we discussed the implications of the 'no child left behind' act and the patriot act, iraq, etc. in a nutshell, i'm all about bringing the troops home but we've got to finish what we started. i don't think iraq can govern itself in its present state, i read a good post article about a predicted timeline. its interesting.

so i turned in my homeworks this week. 29 pages for one, 17 for the other (robin?) and it took probably about 50 hours to do it. that's not bragging. that's not complaining either. that's just what i've been doing for the last week so its kinda hard to think about anything else.
my parents still tell me to eat fruits and vegetables though. i'm sure tim understands. and they told me tonight, 'don't work too hard.' well if i don't work this hard i may be spending a lot more time at home this winter than they are expecting :)
i did check out an a capella concert tonight, and saw a few groups play while i rudely graded papers. if you've never seen a group sing before, you totally have to, its a ton of fun and the rhythm guy is usually awesome at making drum sounds and stuff. the first time i saw robin's group play i thought a drum loop was prerecorded, but no, its like every group has a member of 'stomp.'
oh, and i found out on sunday that my new nickname is smokestack.
how about them falcons? at least maybe people out here will know where i'm from! i recognized a few people on gameday this morning, like matt nieport and a guy that looked like meatball. the bucks won big, the yankees lost, it would only be more perfect if michigan also lost (like andrew would say) and i suppose if the terps weren't horrible against ga. tech.
i was really confident about this big helicopter homework project, but not anymore, because i went nowhere in a few hours tonight. but i got some grading out of the way, which is good because its time consuming and really not the most fun i've ever had.
we finally turned the heat on; this morning it was 57 degrees in my room. who wants to get out of bed to that? not me.
