the first of three consecutive weekends in ohio starts today. no time in BG though, just some criscrossing the state between canton, dayton, and maybe columbus. are you into it? i'll be more so next week when i'll be in the NW region.

my driving legs are on, and i hate traffic, and maintenance to my car that runs many hundreds of dollars.

man i hate the yankees, and the lakers, and why do they always win on the same night? please, someone end the domination. the o's got the crap kicked out of them last night, and a trip to detroit for the weekend offers little hope for their dumb pitching staff. i'd only be confident in the o's ending their 7 game losing streak if they were playing a little league team instead.

yeah this is a negative post, but what are you gonna do about it?

its that time of the year again: time to LIVE. that's right, no more of this crap i'm doing now. you've heard the arguments before, but i'll present them again:
make it a day. why? today's not just any day. some people get married today. some people die. some have their first child. imagine having your firstborn son or daughter today! you'd always, always remember it as one of the happiest days of your life. so the fact that you're probably not having your first child today doesn't mean that you can't make today one of the most memorable and happy days of your life.
so live for it. don't let it pass you by. what can you say you did today? sit in an office, talk on IM, is that all? some people died today. and they don't have 'today' any more. sometimes i feel like i need to seize and take hold of today just out of respect for those who can't.
so make it a day. do something great. look at a calendar and know that you lived life to the fullest each day. don't fake your way through life. don't eek your way through life either. take it, grab hold, and live it. that's why christ came!

i can't be a hypocrite, so what am i doing today? something personal, but definitely worth the title. yesterday? related to today's. days i won't forget soon. the day before that? invested in a person. worked on friendships. wrote 1/2 of a good song. day before that? explored bethesda, wrote letters to my aunts & uncles & cousins, drove fast with my windows down, music on the stereo.

thats right, its that time of year again.

time to LIVE.

so can you believe it? jenna rode 140 miles on her bike (with 70 other people) to raise $100,000 for HIV/AIDS patients in baltimore. it was pretty incredible to see all the bikers ride into baltimore with police escort and hundreds of people cheering them on. and jenna didn't do too bad! 100 miles on sat., 40 on sunday morning to finish up around 1pm, plenty of time to sit around and relax for the rest of the day. she's incredible :)

of course it was 90 degrees both days of her ride, and again today, i suppose summer is really here. the cookout is sweet - some of the other grad students had never had, well, an American cookout I suppose so it was cool to get to give them some tasty burgers. the dumb lakers won though.

the next three weekends we'll be in ohio! this weekend is canton/dayton for some wedding junk, then next is to watch my bro speak at graduation, then next is my cousin's wedding for which i'll be in a tux and dancing in a hog trough. why a hog trough? because my cousin's groom-to-be, kurt, is getting married before his older brother. in fact, i believe everyone in his family is married except for the oldest brother. so, to poke fun, he has to dance in a hog trough in front of everyone. and so does the bridal party. good old putnam county, where my parents live an hour away in the "big city" of bowling green...farmers, anyone?
