wow mike. you have no excuse. on behalf of all the single guys out there, i will proceed to kick you in the balls.
while i'm into ticking people off, let me say this: i'm not really into notwist. just not my style, i guess. i'm glad that justin, mike, joel, and everyone else is into them, but not me. must be a good feeling though to see one of your favorite concerts of all time. which brings me to a
**NEW MISSION**

here's mine:
i saw jimmy eat world (with a smidge of hey mercedes) a few times, and all of their shows are in the top 10. the two that stick out in my mind are: 1) the show right after clarity was put out, there were maybe 100 other people in the club, and it was freaking sweet. now you can't seem them with less than 2000. 2) jimmy's bleed american tour, with rachel haden on keys and vocals. they played everything: table for glasses, sky harbor, even no sensitivity. it was great. 3) is juliana theory, back when they were good. the show venue got changed at the last minute and so it was them, us, and the opening band. way cool. the show that should be on this list but isn't is the weezer-tenacious d-jimmy show i went to last year. the lineup was great but it was at an arena and nothing really special happened, plus i was in a bad mood for other reasons.
i watched one-hour-photo tonight and its ok, i don't really get the ending and there are a lot of things that don't check out (like what happened to the pictures of the manager's daughter?). but the creepy thing is that i've been making this video for the volleyball team all week, so i've been staring at these pictures every day and i almost feel like part of the family. problem is though, they have no idea who i am. so that movie is realistic in that sense.
i have class tomorrow in toledo. consequently, may 1 class is canceled. that has a nice ring to it.
thanks joel and heidi for coming to our show yesterday. here's how i'll describe it: the sound guy mic'ed the bass amp. he also couldn't get both of my keyboards to work at the same time. wow. bricks.
if you get a chance, read page five in today's sentinel (the BG local paper). there's an excellent article about pinewood written there.

thumbs up: playing frisbee outside
thumbs down: vhs looks like crap compared to lcd/dvd

man, i've been at school since 9am today, except for a quick dinner. at least i'm learning something, though when programming, it usually takes about an hour to learn something. i've been wrestling with my honors project for many hours today, while trying to work on the volleyball video when i have the time. i was going to use this sweet 'ken burns' effect in imovie but the rendering isn't very good. its ok, but not presentation-quality. so i'm taking the easy way out by using keynoe (a spiffy version of powerpoint) to basically create a slide show, with music and some nice 'dissolve' transitions. maybe if i had more time i'd make it sweet but time is at a premium right now.
i caught some cnn over dinner and saw how, when the u.s. troops took down the big statue of saddam today, they actually first draped an american flag over his head. after a few minutes, the soldier changed it to an iraqi flag (because i think the american symbolism was too great). after a few more minutes, an armored vehicle dragged the statue down and settled the dilemma.
we have a show tomorrow night at the metro (it may actually have a different name now) at 11 or 12, so if you've got some time and want to make the trek to toledo, we'd love to see you there. brian this is also a warning that i'm going to be one tired mug come 8am friday.

thumbs up: the volleyball pictures are now on my background, set to change pictures every 15 minutes
thumbs down: wow, its 12:30am, i got here 15 hours ago

i've been busy scanning in pictures of volleyball girls for the past two hours. and i'm even getting paid by the volleyball team to do so. isn't that great?
we have a pinewood show this thursday up in toledo at the metro, and also one next thursday the 17th at h2o on campus here. both should be fun, we have a new cover that rocks. rick pushed ben down today and it was the funniest thing since rick hit the cue ball into brad's nuts on sunday.
i talked to my brother in tucson on the phone tonight and i was complaining about our 40 degree, rainy weather. he told me that its been sunny every day for the last few weeks. jerk.
tomorrow i get to meet with my professors and figure out why one of my honors project programs isn't working. or, if any of you know fortran90 (yes, that is not a typo, i wrote fortran) then give me a shout-out, ok?
and my blog links are still posting to the hawaiian model's page. that's great.

i defintely slept through my only two classes this morning. i was just way too tired to wake up and sit through a boring lecture. carly did too, so its all good.
so it sounds like i've gotten on everyone's case by telling them to blog more often. i just want to hear from you, that's all.
i was rooting for kansas, but dumb carmelo anthony had to lead the 'cuse to a win, i just want to know how they were only a #3 seed!
looks like i'm going to be making a video for the volleyball team's ending video, as coach van de walle asked me to do so today. i originally said no, i don't have the time, but it sounds really easy, plus i think she's going to pay me. unfortunately, i will be doing no live taping :(

heidi, i'm glad you're alive. read the story. wow.
i thoroughly enjoyed wags' blog, go read it. hey dude, i appreciate all your work at rcc, even if the boss doesn't. i wish my nickname was 'the boss' like bruce springsteen. but if you ask me, he had his day in the 80s/90s, not today.
i just watched paul runyan goes to texas again, can we expect another paul runyan movie, justin? you're way ahead of your time.
so this morning i played bass at church, then raced over to bryan recital hall for the phi beta kappa induction ceremony. i was so pressed for time that i had to tie my tie in the car while driving, and i'd like to say i got it on the first try and ran up to the building just as we were about to start the ceremony. it was pretty cool, phi beta kappa is the oldest fraternity in the u.s (since 1776) and is made up of some elite scholars. so it was cool to be recognized for putting in a lot of hard work over the years.
i also got my program that i've been working on for my honors project for a few weeks to run today. its satisfying.
3-6" of snow expected, what's this crap? its april for crying out loud! i'm going to protest.

lots of people probably go to the hawaiian model's webpage and click on "san diego pictures" expecting to get a shot of her in a bikini. but instead, they see a picture of me running. now that's funny. the hawaiian model emailed me yesterday, asking if i could fix the blogger-screw up, but i'm going to milk this as long as i can. plus, i have no idea how to fix it.
just saw the longhorns lose a close one to syracuse. sorry about that justin. and did you hear brad and ben make fun of weblogs? jerks. what was funny though is hearing everyone make fun of syracuse just because they're winning: skin color, last names, hair styles, shooting technique, whatever. it was great.
kurt and i started looking for an apartment for us and alaska_justin this summer, since it looks like we may have subleasers for my apt. now. if you know of a house for cheap, let me know. else, it looks like campbell hill.
remember to turn the clocks ahead, yo.
