yeah mike i know what you're feeling, playing with some new guys and a new band is rad, i'm doing the same thing over here. we messed around a little tonight at worship team practice where i played jim's gibson sg, it was like butter and we're looking to play again on sunday, twice really. good luck to your and your band!
sometimes my professors "assign" homework but don't put it on the interweb to its hard to start said homework without knowing what the problems are. a ten pager due friday, 21 plots due tuesday, and maybe 5 or 10 more problems due tuesday depending on if they get their act together.
but for now my TA class has an exam tomorrow morning so i don't have class until 11!
thanks for the encouragement everyone, it feel good to have the support. i could write a lot of cheesy things here, and mean every one of them. feel free to think of your own.
other than that big news there's not much else going down on this side of the world. know that i'll be home in SEVEN DAYS so be ready for that! i'm totally looking forward to the 8-hour drive, plus a stop in dayton to see the girly-girl on tuesday, so that puts me in BG on wednesday. i emailed out all my old hs friends about football on friday at conneaut hill, this will be the 9th consecutive year. maybe we'll make tshirts next year.
i did check out maryland's exhibition game tonight, the terp runners got third row seats and so i was pretty much courtside in a 17,000 seat arena. nik caner-medley looked good but everyone else looked young and inexperienced. that's because they are, only one senior on the team. regular season starts on saturday. and let me also say that gary williams rules.
again, thanks for your kind words, everyone. especially marr's, i had no idea that you and my mom were so close! (i knew ray and pat were, but that's about it).

yep, this weekend was solid. heather just told me that "today was the happiest i've seen you since you got here..." you want to know why?
jenna came to visit this weekend. she came on friday, we spent the night catching up, going out to eat, and watching 'oh brother where art thou' for the first time. on saturday we ran on a brilliant fall morning, then walked around on campus and watched ohio state pull off another incredible win. we went out to dinner with robin, joe, and his wife shannon in georgetown (where i ate crab crakes, fertel!) and then hit up a few bars and had some good conversation. no talk about calculators here. joe & shannon left to head back to maryland and so robin, jenna and i had lots of fun rockin and dancing (with "the look") in the upstairs bar. we kicked it until late, then jenna and i came home and had a relationship talk, not the first.
and we decided to go for it.
as in, we're exclusive now, dating, 'going steady' as my mom said, whatever you want to call it. and it feels great. after a rockin' church this morning, where we seriously kicked it, jenna left for PA for a week and so i'll see her over the holidays. it had been three months.
so that's exciting!
i rocked out with jim, matt, and christian today too, and we're looking at playing out soon. jim's a really good songwriter, we're pushing a style with the simplicity of the strokes but an elvis costello influence, i don't know how else to describe it but its really fun and a nice follow up to pinewood. the moog should make an appearance but for now i'm rockin' the les paul.
i didn't do a lick of hwk until tonight.
joe, robin, and i also saw maryland take on virginia on espn on thurs night, it was really cold but the terps won and it was a good game all around. the stadium was packed and the atmosphere was intense, as virginia is but a few minutes from campus. florida state won though, so an ACC title is out of the question.
it was all great this week. and i'm not looking at school till tomorrow!
