so, my CFD take-home is finished. 33 typed pages + 3 handwritten pages + 17 appendix pages = one heck of a project.
i've studied my nuts off for the helicopter final tomorrow (which, i learned earlier today, is not at 2pm but rather 10:30am) and then, as He said, it is finished.
and then i'm coming home.

it kind of broke my heart to proctor an exam this morning because some of the kids didn't do very well and its hard to take someone's exam away from them while they're still writing. i like to think of myself as a 'proctor-ologist.'
i finished my structural dynamics class today, and i think i did relatively well on the take-home final, so i am much more confident that i'm passing the class now. i'm also nearly finished on another take-home that i may be able to wrap up tomorrow afternoon. other than that, i have an in-class final on thursday worth only 10% of our grade. but we haven't had any exams in that class so i'm not sure what to expect.
so it looks like the orioles are trying to contend next year too. the al east may be interesting if some of these trades that are rumored actually happen. the orioles are looking to pick up some more big names, the red sox are talking to arod, and of course the yankees are gonna be good. i hope to make it out to camden yards a few times in the spring, jenna's going to be working about 1/4 mile from the stadium. its just as cool as they say it is.
i'm totally in finals mode which means my appearance kinda sucks more than usual, we're talking no showers for a few days, no shaving for about two weeks, and somehow i keep forgetting the deodarant, the toothpaste is out and i've not bought anything new, and i think i stepped in dog crap today. i'll clean up before i come home or else i may not be so welcome!
fertel, i've heard of two weezer tribute albums, one small one that i haven't heard anything from and a good one with an good versions of only in dreams (mock orange), susanne (midtown), say it aint so (further seems forever) and even jamie is okay. is that the one you're talking about? and so, so sorry i never replied to your nice email you sent a while back. i'll get on that right away, i promise. glad to hear you're back into pinkerton. how's rcc going? mike hachtel was in my dream last night, kinda weird...

quote: "ernst mach is the strange offspring of mozart and bach who could tell the speed of sound by the frequencies made by playing pianos." - the answer to a FINAL EXAM question asking who the mach number is named after (the mach number is the velocity related to the speed of sound, so mach 1 is the speed of sound under normal conditions)
