just finished up watching 'clue,' an all-time favorite movie from the 80s that rules, tim curry is stellar and michael mckean is awesome as mr. green. i used to watch it all the time when i was a kid and never got any of the jokes!
we pulled to 1-1 on the IM basketball season with a win over sociology today. i hit a three at the buzzer for halftime to give us a seven-point lead and i felt pretty stoked about that. and we played a box-and-one defense in the second half and i shut their scorer down. plus justin is a beast in the lane and boom, there's a victory.
three hmwk assignments down, fifteen to go. 1/6 of the way there. c'mon semester, its already four weeks over! less than a week to chicago, too.
i skipped the hey mercedes show tonight in favor of a later one with saves the day, though ray still went. some bg kids may be in town this weekend, plus kathleen, so we're gonna mess up dupont and georgetown on saturday i think. friday will be left to jenna because i haven't seen her this week yet. and lots of reading about helicopters will be in store.
more 50s coming this weekend, some good running weather in the forecast!

a nice run in the middle of my day broke up all the homework. it was kinda windy but i can deal. i also just checked out the weather homepage, college park's average high for today is a full 11 degrees warmer than bowling green's. i hate to rub it in, but its seriously cold in ohio, always. tomorrow it'll be in the 50s again, bring on summer!
in contrast to heather, i think the democrats have some decent candidates in the field. lets remember that a viable candidate that *everyone* likes is going to pretty hard to come by, even jfk, lincoln, and fdr had people running against them! i wonder if edwards can win any states now that its a two-man race. are the candidates really that distinguishable?
the boring pictures will leave my photo website soon, don't worry. once i get my hands on a scanner, you'll get a chance to see some hot stuff.
the frisbee team is headed down to mardi gras this weekend, where my brother will be with his arizona team, and even my cousin will be in town. i could've gone but didn't want to be at mardi gras for five days with non-christians, because lets face it, thats not really a good situation for anyone. now, my sister in law is coming into town so we'll hit up DC with jenna and ray anyway.
and as justin knows, look out for a saves the day-hey mercedes-fire theft lineup coming your way soon!

i just saw diane sawyer interview mel gibson about "the passion." first off, how the heck did diane sawyer get her own tv show? her questions were dumb and the expression on her face was dumb. other than that i think the interview was pretty cool, it shows how a devout catholic still believes in the same God as evangelical christians, and that there really is little that divides the christian denominations. a little unity, perhaps.
other than that, if Jesus was from the middle east, why does he have white skin?
jenna finished her move yesterday, so we slept in my tent in her empty apartment. all the moving is finally finished! you can also see her new place by clicking on that link. its kinda boring but is there more for her family's sake, they haven't seen the new apt yet.

my brother has a mohawk! i need pictures! or maybe he shaved it by now, i don't know, but it had to have been sweet!
maryland lost to north carolina and the game sucked for lots of reasons: unc shot fifty free throws, a few terps fouled out, and unc is really good. it would tense but would have been more interesting had the terps not had most of the calls go against them. i don't know if that's bad officiating or bad luck.
valentines day was perfect. some pictures are here if you care to look.
the morning was flawless: sleeping in late, then jenna and i feasted our eyes on sportscenter while reading the washington post and eating cereal. after reading three pages of comics we took a nice 30-minute run through university park in sun and 45-degree weather. from there we cleaned up and drove through annapolis to the shore of the chesapeake bay and walked around on the beach, climbed over rocks, and worried about nothing. the chesapeake is really quite remarkable and may make for some good swimming in a few months. evening rolled around and so we drove into downtown annapolis (which had lots of damage from the hurricane) and ate at an irish pub but i couldn't stomach the "bangers and mash" so instead i went seafood. and the rest of the evening was nice as well.
tonight i'm traveling up to baltizzy to camp out with jenna in her old apartment she moved out of a few days ago. thankfully her new apt is sweet and nice.
rick has come to maryland for the last four weeks and has already gone. i saw him once. brad came for a weekend too, i didn't see him at all. which makes it even harder to keep in touch.
