christmas parties and engagement parties. we'll see how well kentucky justin does on his toast - i think he'll pull through just fine. congrats to patrick on the engagement. always around christmas time they seem to happen, eh? thats why i pre-empted the engagements by doing it first. now we just have to get married first.
that's the problem though - jenna and i have been engaged for two weeks but we haven't set a date yet, and we really aren't much closer today than we were on dec. 4. there are three dates though, march 19, june 11, july 30, each which have good and bad stuff about them. if we can mobilize our entire family & friends in time, go march.
so my mono test came back inconclusive, meaning i need another blood test next week. i don't know why the doc didn't just give me antibiotics at the time in case its not mono - because my throat hurts like a mother.
my german friend stefan said that his favorite american phrase is 'big ass,' like, 'dude, i've got a big ass truck.'
thanks for all the well wishes. it'll be good to see everyone in bowling green next week.
a couple of things i've been meaning to write:
-mike, your 'open air' song is REALLY good and i've listened to it a lot. i'm not saying that to be nice, i mean it.
-justin, your video blogs are sahweet, when will your new album be finished? and can i hear some when i get back (do you want a moog? on the record, i'm not giving you the moog).
-fertel, josh harris back to the browns. no offense, but even though he moved back to OH, he's definitely going from a playoff team to a rebuilding (again) team. maybe the duel between him and roethlesberger will be renewed, eh?
-i don't know why i make lists like this, but i do.
so the engagement was awesome, and jenna and i have been celebrating everyday and thinking about honeymoons (read: vacation) and where we're gonna live, a date for the wedding, etc. its totally weird to even think about. probably this summer, though the idea of eloping in march is also gaining some popularity.
the semester is over, i watched the empire strikes back last night, i think its hard to appreciate the star wars series now because the acting seems bad and the fight scenes are lame to todays standards, though certainly not to 1979 standards. i wonder if LOTR is to today what star wars was to the 80s.
well, i'm going to the doc to make sure i don't have mono. i'm getting the results of a blood test back...and i didn't pass out, praise the lord!
