the engagement party was great. the first of a few, i'm told. first, a dinner at minerva indian cuisine, a small gem in fairfax virginia with excellent food. even the indian beer was good. after dinner we were magically whisked away to jenna's house for another gathering, complete with dessert, wine, and a toast to champagne. and justin kearns gave a good one. we followed with some games and more wine - the evening was fun and joyous.
tomorrow (monday) i leave for the flatlands. some crazy public transportation awaits me first though. see you tomorrow night, family.
oh and the OT win of maryland over fla st. was intense, more intense than the game should have been. lots of blocks, fast breaks, and big plays. hopefully the terps won't drop in the polls at all, but at least they are 1-0 in the ACC. THE best basketball conference in the country.
