keep the vid blogs coming, justin. alejandro rules.

its supposed to snow again this weekend, which means the entire city will shut down. you know, for moving out here, its weird, but i only take advantage of the city once a month or so. all the other time is spent with people, in our own homes. it startles me sometimes to be driving around and suddenly be able to see the washington monument, or the capitol building, or any of the national mall.

i guess i thought that i'd be seeing a band play everynight downtown and being an activist and doing something in the community i live in. but i don't. i acutally haven't seen that many bands and have only been to rallies by chance, and the campus is the only community i've been involved in.

so what does that mean? is it the people, not the places?

not entirely. there's something to be said to go to maryland basketball games, on national tv, every week - and they're free. or seeing a half dozen orioles games last season, and probably as many nationals games this year. shenandoah is only a 1 1/2 hour drive, and it beats the scenery in most other places of the country.

but as jenna and i are making decisions as to where we're going to live after this summer, the same question always comes back: is it the people, or the places?

band camp day #3. the tally goes...three songs absolutely finished. plus one new one that we wrote yesterday, done. then two more that we are tinkering with...that gives six. coming soon to a show near you.

we finally got some snow, snizzle, and its about the worst thing this area needs, some other way to make traffic even worse. its been like ohio here, and that means cold and windy and snowy.

i love it though, people say, 'you're from ohio, you should be used to this.' yes, i'm used to this. but that doesn't mean its not cold, so please let me complain just like the rest, okay?

maryland vs. virginia tonight, those are my plans. and jumping jenna's car.

ahh, the winter holidays. today was day #1 for band camp with jim & matt, we're practicing our songs & refining some parts, to hastily record by the end of the month. then some DC shows.

i saw '24' on tv today, and i realized that i don't watch much tv because its so dang frustrating! this series is a 24-week (or slightly less, with double episodes) "to be continued" - imagine watching a movie in 20 minute segments over the course of five months. sheesh.

the maryland vs. temple game was awesome two days ago. i'm playing some ball tomorrow, just three weeks before the intramural championship season starts.

sorry, merritt. we couldn't catch patrick.
