its only the second week of school but already i'm loaded every day. go figure, my last semster at maryland. this weekend though i'm heading to ohio to pick up a car and drive it back - so maybe i'll see all y'all around sometime. why do i always announce this on the blog and not let it be a surprise? i dunno, i guess its something interesting for you to look forward to on sunday mornings at covenant or something.
i just watched 'ever after,' the drew barrymore-cinderella story, and it took wayyy to long to end. i mean, everyone knows the ending, its cinderella for crying out loud, but the director decides to put in a few twists near the end...but as i'm watching this with jenna, its starting to get late and prince charming is about to ask cinderella to marry him...and the ball hasn't even happened yet. its hard knowing the end of the movie, i mean, really knowing the end of the movie, but its been 1 1/2 hours and somehow the ball is 45 minutes away. c'mon, why the suspense? WE KNOW HOW IT ENDS SO MAKE IT SHORT AND SWEET AND TO THE POINT. i wanted to fast-forward the last 30 minutes anyhow.
justin, don't sell out to the man. keep the long intro & outro, why settle for people with low connection speeds? or is that arrogant?
the semester has started, with a bang. my last one at maryland, already. i have a heavy load this semester - computational fluid dynamics II, which is my specialization, and a helicopter design project. this project is intense. its a national competition that the univesity of maryland has won 7 years in a row - and is a favorite mention for tour guides, the dean, and even the president of the university. so there's pressure. this will be a theme of the semester.
that, and doing some research to help me graduate soon after the wedding. then, where to?
i really like "caring is creepy" on the garden state soundtrack. its by the shins, of course.
an old friend of jenna's is in town, teri will, and we've been kicking back and relaxing and having fun with people that know us longer than the past year. not that there's anything wrong with new friends...or old friends.
i'll be back in ohio in a week or so to collect kurt's car - he's helping us out since jenna's is completely unreliable.
